—Introduction of Startup Support Initiatives by MIC, NICT, and JICT—
On Friday, July 25, 2025, the "MIC, NICT, and JICT Joint Meeting," an exclusive event for ICT Startup League selectees, was held at the NICT Nihonbashi Innovation Center in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
This event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), and the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan’s ICT and Postal Services (JICT). Its purpose was to promote future business expansion and collaboration for ICT Startup League selectees through the introduction of support measures and networking opportunities.
■ Diverse Support Measures to Boost Startup Growth
During the event, various support measures were introduced to help ICT Startup League selectees seize new business opportunities.
The agenda was packed with initiatives to powerfully back startup growth. This included overseas expansion support from the MIC, such as the "Project to Support Overseas Expansion of Digital Infrastructure Ensuring Safety and Reliability" and the call for exhibitors for "MWC Barcelona 2026"; investment and support systems utilizing NICT research results; and JICT's initiatives for risk money supply and ecosystem formation.

Approximately 50 companies, including past selectees, participated both on-site and online, engaging in active Q&A sessions and information sharing.
A networking session was held at the end of the event. Lively exchanges of opinions took place at the venue, providing a valuable opportunity to experience the expansion of the cross-industry network unique to the ICT Startup League.
■ Accelerating Challenges with Strong Backup from MIC
Mr. Sato, Director of the Startup Support Office, delivered a powerful message: "As the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, we will put even more effort into startup support. We invite you to share your opinions on what kind of support you seek in the future." Moving forward, with the active backing of the MIC and related organizations, the ICT Startup League will fully support the challenges of startups leading Japan's digital innovation.
