Representative Morikawa has long been engaged in the design, procurement, and on-site supervision of waste incineration plants, as well as inspection management for plant blowers. While handling construction photography during site supervision and inspection work, he recognized the cumbersome and challenging nature of analog-based photographic tasks within the plant and construction industries. To solve this problem and contribute to productivity improvements in the plant and construction sectors, he seized the opportunity presented by being selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's (METI) Secondment Entrepreneurship Creation Support Program. This led to the founding of verbal and dialogue Inc., which develops AI construction photography apps and pursues business development in the construction tech field, including the streamlining of construction photography work.

Demonstration of Time and Cost Reduction via AI and OCR in Construction Photo App, and Functional Improvements We will primarily focus on improvements during the preprocessing stage and enhance the machine learning-based text prediction function. Regarding the text prediction function, we are currently exploring the feasibility of fully integrating predictive text conversion or typo correction suggestion features—similar to those found in general word processing software—into this software when reflecting reading results in the photo ledger.
