・Real-time Digital Twin Generation and Utilization Multiple LiDAR sensors installed on infrastructure and Edge Computing are fully utilized to generate real-time digital twins. This technology allows for advanced data analysis with AI, such as human movement analysis, object detection, spatial risk analysis, etc. The results are being used for fully infrastructure-based autonomous driving in robotics and micro-mobility. ・The New Concept of Fully Infrastructure-based Autonomous Driving A novel concept for autonomous robot driving is being developed, where the responsibility for "eyes" (sensors) and "brain" (edge computing) is shifted from the robot itself to the surrounding infrastructure. Robots can have a bird's eye view of areas usually not visible alone, improving safety, allowing for complete traffic control of multiple devices, and making smooth robotic movement possible. More sensorless and computer-free robotics per robot lowers the cost of high-quality autonomous driving. This approach enables future mobility with robot and human coexistence. ・ Contributing to a Decarbonized Society and Tackling Challenges Facing Mobility Our technology helps build a sustainable social infrastructure to address modern societal issues such as decarbonization and the last mile in mobility. Real-time data consolidation and analysis can expand new mobility options, including optimization of mobility sharing, and introduce autonomous vehicles and safe robots into suburban areas. We aim to benefit all communities by partnering in building future smart cities.
